BIJF warmly welcomes the first Brisbane concert of the MWIJF Quintet, a cohesive unit of inspiring Multi Award winning women improvisers and composers.

The Melbourne Women’s International Jazz Festival (MWIJF) is a not for profit association established in 1997 to foster opportunities for female jazz and improvised music performers, composers, arrangers, bandleaders and instrumentalists.

Each year the final festival concert brings together nationally and internationally acclaimed women jazz artists to premiere two new works composed by each ensemble member for the specific years line up.
