Kennedy Snow feat. Guest Vocalist Nilusha Dassenaike
Kennedy Snow aka Sonja Horbelt plays at Bennetts Lane in the last weeks of the old venue, this most iconic jazz club in Melbourne. 2016 has seen the release of the debut album “Follow”, featuring some of Melbourne’s finest musicians including Bob Sedergreen, Nina Ferro and Grant Windsor. For this special performance, the repertoire will include a mixture of original songs from the album and some classic soul numbers, encompassing a broad range of styles from Neo-Soul and R&B (Marvin Gaye, Jill Scott, Lauryn Hill) to jazz and heart stopping ballads. The line up features amazing guest vocalist Nilusha Dassenaike (recently returned from a tour of Cuba) and also includes long time collaborators Kellie Santin (saxes) and Kim May (bass) with special guest Steve Sedergreen on piano and keys.
